MILS recognized by Good Food Institute APAC for its plant-based food system solution

Yangon, Myanmar | 16 June 2021

A sustainable plant-based food system solution put forward by Myanmar Innovative Life Sciences has been announced as the winner of Next-Gen Cropportunities Challenge held by Good Food Institute APAC and innovation engine Thought for Food.

This topical award was part of TFF Challenge 2021, the world’s largest and most diverse innovation challenge dedicated to food systems transformation with 5000+ participants, 1400+ high-quality teams, 120+ countries – and ultimately 10 teams were selected as Global Finalists and 13 teams as topical track winners.

The solution proposed from MILS, Switch-To-Green: Plant-based Food Systems Transformation is aimed to connect the supply chain gap between primary plant-protein crop agricultural production and plant-based food manufacturers. Impressed by the solution, Good Food Institute APAC will continue working with MILS to support the solution by providing various recognition, exposure, mentoring and connecting with Good Food Institute APAC’s executive leadership, Board, or wider network in Southeast Asia.
