On September 26, 2022, a group of officials from the Singapore Embassy in Myanmar, led by H.E Ambassador Vanessa Chan, Singapore's Ambassador to Myanmar visited the Technical Center of MILS in Aung Ban, Shan State. The Technical Center of MILS was supported by “Feed the Future Burma Agriculture and Food Systems Development Activity” and is designed to provide technical tools and solutions for farmers and food producers closer to their farms and production facilities in the region in order to help them make better decisions.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Singapore is standing as a trading partner country and the top economic investment partner of Myanmar. In addition, according to the data released by Base pour l'Analyse du Commerce International (BACI) in 2020, Singapore is one of the top ten countries with the highest import trade of Myanmar's agricultural and food products.
Myanmar Innovative Life Sciences is helping food producers, including small-holder farmers, and providing technical assistance to quality control of food products to the factories and entrepreneurs in the food ecosystem in order to gain more market opportunities with continuous effort and cooperation with local and international partner organizations.
